Born in Los Angeles and raised in a traditional Persian household, Gia Woods knew from an early age the struggle she would face identifying as a Lesbian. It was music that ultimately gave her a voice; Green Day’s rebellion against institution, Bjork’s uncompromising individuality, Madonna’s sexual ownership - all charted a blueprint for Woods to both understand and translate her experience.

And translate it did. Gia’s sexy, androgynous aesthetic - coupled with a skill for crafting anthemic hooks and guitar riffs - has distinguished her as the fearless talent of her generation. Resulting in 150 million streams and cult fan following, Gia’s realized that the ultimate goal she wants to achieve is providing the LGBTQ+ representation in the mainstream that she didn’t have growing up. As a first generation Iranian-American, Gia also hopes to one day perform in Iran where you currently would be killed for being gay. Her upcoming project Heartbreak County invites fans into her world, mind, and heart.
